The first English dictionary was made in 1755, and it took Johnson 9 years to combine this dictionary.
Today (September 18th) is the birthday of that great person, due to which today we can understand any word easily. We are talking about Samuel Johnson who created the dictionary and since people started to know him as Father of Modern Dictionary. On the occasion of 308th birthday of this great man, Google has made a doodle in their honor. Johnson was a prosperous British and a committed Tory. His name has been described by the Oxford Dictionary in the form of National Biography which was the most typical person in the history of Agra. A book is written on Johnson, named ‘The Life of Samuel Johnson’, and this book was written by Jams Boswell.
